New BFG TA Radials, 215/60/15 front, 255/60/15 rears. Wheels are 8" wide, 5 3/4" backspacing. I rolled the rear lips a bit, just in case. I replaced 225/70/15 on the rears with the 255/60's, gained 1/2" in tread width, same height. These should last me a few years! Oh, and that bumpstop is not as close as it looks, there is as much clearance on it as there is the spring....
Nice looking tires! I can see in the first photo, where you rolled the top portion of your fender well lips, so they don't damage those beauties.
Those look great man! They fill out the wheel well nice. I need some fatter tires on the back of mine, but I need 15" wheels first. There just isn't a whole lot of market for 14" wheels
Looks good, I have the same size front tire... I need to try different sizes on the back, I have 8" and 10" wheels to choose from... My tire guy is gonna try to fit the fattest tire he can... Gotta love a tire shop that will work with you and at no extra charge.... My goal is a cruising tire on the 8" and drag radials on the 10"
Craig's right, front is factory, I didn't touch them . Might have got by without rolling the backs, but did it just in case.....
Yup. I didn't look close enough! I thought I was looking at the back fender well. I didn't know they rolled the front ones in the factory. I learn something new everyday about these Mavericks and Comets.
Nope. I always thought they were 4 3/4", but measured them while off and they turned out to be 5 3/4". No scrub, no rub!
