Well, after sitting a friend's barn for 23 years, 7 years of resto sweat, pounds worth of welding slag, 4 gallons worth of inhaled grinder dust, primer and paint, 15 bloody knuckles and an untold number of curses, the resto project finally turned its wheels under it's own power today....kinda grainy video but it'll do for now... My boys were 5 and 4 when I brought it home so they got the first ride.... Lots still to do, but I have been looking forward to this day since I joined the forums back in 2007...
awesome congrats sure will motivate you to finish up I'm sure. sounds like the wife just wants it out of the garage lol
That thing sounds mean Dan!!!...Congrats on the maiden voyage. Thats a good looking car, nice job. Hopefully mine will run this time next year.
thanks for all the positive words...it makes those days when I figured I was never going to get it running again worthwhile. I still have to get it tightened up and timed right (and add the hood!) and figure out my E-brake, but as soon as I got it running and the clutch and brakes working I couldn't resist the urge to get it out of the garage for a few minutes!
