Finally got back on the Mav. a couple weeks ago, when I stopped working on it in late April,it was on jackstands with all the front susp. out and the engine compartment in finish prime.I blasted and painted all the susp. parts and finish sanded underhood and painted, for those not following this project,I'm reproducing my original black with silver stripes '71 Grabber I had when less than a year old.357" Windsor,425hp.,Toploader,Ladder Bar Coilover 9",3.70 Nodular Detroit 31spl.Cage.All the metal work I finished last spring, today I rolled it outside and took the "Strip-It" disc to the roof and 1/4s,Now if I can remember how to post pics.!!!!!!
I was playing with that white SuperDuty in the driveway, pulling that big white trailer sitting there!!!! Needed a break...but I"m really ready to get back at it.I've already had motor, headers, clutch linkage and shifter all in it and sorted out so it should go pretty fast from here.
I can look and see the name as I just bought it in the spring,a 3M is big bucks and this was only about 15.00,it's a knockoff, but it did a great job.It fits on your electric buffer and I use 40 grit,it's about 9-10".
Yeah the 3-M ones are wonderfull but expensive,I am looking for a cheaper alternative that will do the job.Did the disc hold up well or is it close to used out after the quarters and roof??
I think I used 4-5 stickons for everything today.Hey ,didn't you have one that needed a front snout put on it ? Or was it someone else that asked?
Great Pics Jack! Nice to see you back from the happy trails of camping!! Can't wait to see completed, have to make another visit up.
