Well I finally took the time to take a few pics of the new items to my car. Not completely done yet (are we ever done) but the basics are there.
A little info to go with pics 347 stroker built by Fordstrokers 190 Trick flow Fast as cast heads touched up by TEA Custom cam from Camshaft Innovations 10.5 to 1 Compression Comp Cams ultra gold roller rockers 1.6 Moroso 8 quart oil pan Powerbond sfi balancer Main girdle Edelbrock performer rpm intake Quick Fuel 650 double pumper carb Mr. Gasket crankcase evacuation system complete MSD ignition C4 built by PaulS reverse manual valve body from Broader performance Thats the basics Rear end is a 9" with 4.11 gears, caltracs, rancho shocks Competition Engineering subframe connectors
Wish I could take credit for them but Fan2488 made them for Rick Books car, I still have to make a Monte Carlo bar to hook the front ones up
Those are for the crankcase evacuation system, they go down to a tube that is welded in the header collector at a angle and have a one way valve on them, exhaust pulls the excess pressure from engine out, suppose to be good for some extra horsepower. I will be getting some braided hose covers and standoff brackets to make them a little prettier. Also going to get some more spark plug wire material, the wire set I got was for a 94 on 302 so the box says and a couple of the wires are realy tight and ugly, unfortunately I cant just run down to Summit like other people I know
...with 2 pulling out, where does it breath in? most setups are...1 PCV pulls out and the other breather/oil filler breaths in.
Looks Great! whats the HP on that? Double-sump oilpan or flat bottom? frank, Evac. sys. puts a vacuum in engine, seals rings better, less blowby.. Good for race engines, not sure if you wanna run on a street car. summit sells kits for headers, think moroso is 1, website has good info of how this works
OK...so this system doesn't remove anything from the crankcase...(no fresh air intake.) you are right, i wouldn't want this on a street motor... ...:Handshake...
