I have a 73 Maverick Grabber w/302 that has factory power steering and factory a/c. I recently installed an electric water pump and am trying to figure out the belt setup. I know CVF sells a serpentine conversion kit, but you have to run a Saginaw Power Steering Pump. By the time I buy everything needed it would be about $915. I am really not wanting to spend that type of money, and have been told that the Saginaw conversion is not always straight forward. Does anyone have any other suggestions for setting up the belts?

You may have to look on some of the SBF "Small Block Ford" engine forums to get an answer too your question -- If you haven't all ready done so!

Frankly, for street application on vehicle with power accessories, electric pump is rarely a good idea. Trying to criss cross belt(s) from one side of engine to other is going to be a nightmare.

With all the mechanical pump options; I don't see where it's worth the aggrevation for elec. pump (assuming) a street vehicle. I run the Saginaw setup, but, I have it combined w/ Borgenson steering conversion. It requires hose and bracket modifications. Wondering what was reason for going electric pump?
