Hey guys, I bought what is needed to convert the wipers to intermittent wipers. What's the best way to get to the old switch? #1 - Through the heater/AC control panel? If so, how do the control knobs (The little silver ones) come off? #2 - Or up from the bottom of the dash? #3 - By removing the instrument cluster maybe?
    Thanks for the help.

I would remove the instument cluster, then remove the heater controls. This will give you better access to the wiper switch. You could possibly do it by reaching up from underneath, but I think that would be more difficult.

The silver heater knobs just pull off. Sometimes you have to tug real hard with a set of plyers. Just don't hit yourself in the mouth when you do!!

You can take a little L shaped flat screwdiver and release the little tab under the heater knobs. then they slid right off.

There are no little tabs on Maverick heater knobs.

I used a dental pick to remove the light switch knob so I wouldn't have to bend my screwdriver. Remove the cluster and heat controls. I stuffed my controller in the far left corner.

Thanks for all of the help guys, I got it done today. Works great, looks great. One observation, though. I think that Ford sharpened all of the edges of metal in the dash so that when you work on something in there you are guaranteed to score at least a dozen cuts/scratches on your hands and arms. Yikes!
