We just pissed away some pretty hefty entry fees & buybacks for yesterday's no/e meltdown which paid $5000 to win (footbrake only)...so we'll be eating beans & weenies for a couple weeks in recovery from that. Otherwise, I'd consider going. Oh, and none of us won a thing. I went out 3rd round, so did Dad...Justin went out I think in 5th round and got $150. Pretty lousy day, but most of the racers were on their game...well..except us. Speaking for myself here, but I just "didn't have it". Some days are just like that I guess.
Todd, yep, some days are chicken salad, others are chicken shift. Don, I hope so too. Last Sat nite we had 61 FBers at a smaller track with less money put up.
Hot, Hot, Hot Great racing in the pro class, (over a hundred cars), not so much in footbrake so I doubt if they gave out the $5,000 tonight. We came home this afternoon. Didn't do any good yesterday in the Jackpot Dial-in, hurt the trans. Got eliminated first round and finished off the trans. I think there were only 4 Fords running, 3 Mustangs of various vintage and one Maverick. Oh well, I've got a spare transmission, and we had a good time and saw some fast, nice cars.
