Does anyone know if anyone carries billet window crank handles for a 1972 Maverick. Also is there a difference between 70-72 and 73 -77 maverick window crank handles?

I figured it would crossover with something made for a mustang.

    Thanks

If a billet window is the same as the windows in the doors of my car, then you can find crank handles on e-bay. Haven't tried them myself though I need one too as well as the gear the handle turns on the regulator. I know they're available, just can't recomend for or against those I've found there.

If it's something different than that, then ... I dunno!

I figured it would cross over with some that are made for a mustang. I was wondering what years of mustangs they would work for the Maverick. There are some really nice billet ones on the market. Billet Specialties shows some for GM/Ford 49 +. I just want to make sure they will work before spending the money for them.

The only thing you have to be careful about is making sure the cranks don't sit to close to the door panels. The metal part of the door bulges out a little compared to the door panel, and if the crank sits to close to the panel, you won't be able to rotate the crank because it will rub up against the metal. Been there....done that.

Well since you can't wait I will put them on as soon as I get the box.
Wont wait till I feel like doing it...as could be next week sometime that way. :burnout:

I knew I wasn't the only guy around here , that has gone down the Frick authentic restoration. Shouldn't suprise me everyone loved these as much as I did though. We all shop online at the same places so chances are we will all see the same things and want or buy them :D

Yep. I just bought the billet handles too. My passenger side is fine but the drivers side is worn out. These look like just the thing.

Got them 20 mins ago. And installed. :yahoo:
Work fine, but can't promise they will work for everyone as I have no clue if my components are even stock. The panels and handles weren't.

They come with various sized spacers... so I can't see them not working for anyone. I got lucky and the first one I tried worked.

I will take pictures.... soon. Waiting on my battery from amazon for camera.
