Hawkco and I did some bartering today and the black hood society membership was transferred to me .... Here are some pics ... My front valance is missing since I am replacing it with a new straighter one but haven't got it painted yet ....
I haven't 100% decided but doubt it will stay black for long .... It will more than likely get painted when I paint my front valance ...
The Transferor My daughter prefers the Comet GT hood scoop to a Grabber hood. Dan brought down a truck load of treaures to trade for a great hood. He's happy, I'm happy, and my daughter's happy. Well...after I paint it. She doesn't like the orange color and she certainly doesn't like this two-tone look. I like the look of the of the GT on the big bumper car. Stay tuned a new improvement and look.
everything look great, we missed ya'll at the tanger show, but next month we are going to canton car cruise and finish out the season!!!

Hey Terry ... I think you forgot to tell me about the prop rod hole being absent from the Grabber hood! It was fun trying to put the hood on by myself when I got home ... I guess my first project is to drill a prop rod hole ... For those wondering ... this is a Grabber hood that had the front lip repaired by grafting and welding the front of another hood on it. Not sure who did the work but it came out great ... except for no prop rod hole ...
That's because Frank forgot to tell me. He also didn't tell me about the throttle sticking until after I called him from highway 5 minutes after I bought car with a stuck throttle. He also didn't tell me about the door lock on the passenger side not working until I called about that, too. :16suspect He didn't tell me about the radio not working until I called to ask how to turn it on. I guess I've been around Frank long enough for his "Sometimers Disease" to rub off on me a little. It works fine without the hole. Of course, I didn't have privilege of knocking it out the way while I was under the hood. Had that happened, there would be a hole in that hood. I'm glad Colton's car is getting more to his standard. Even though we are good friends, I believe I'll have to report it if I see him driving around in it, now.
Just another step in Dan becoming a real Souther Good 'Ol Boy. Somewhere in your family background there should be membership in a "hooded society." Dan chose a good one to join. He's now in the company of MAV and...Frank. Did I say he was now in cohoots with Frank?
