Does anyone know what the original black hood stripe paint code or name was? Have found a couple that would work but would like to get as close to factory as possible.
The original type paint is no longer made ... use DuPont Hot Hues HotRod Black ... although I think they call it something different now ...
By me theres a paint mixing place that will mix the right sheen of black your talkin about.The business is called COLOURS inc. Maybe this could help.
Depends what year you're talkin' about. !970 used Ultra Flat Black on the hood and tail end. It actually has a rough texture to it. Later years used more of a smoother satin color but I'm not sure what they called it. I had my 70m done with the newer color. Got lucky, the guy at the paint supply store is the original owner of a 71 Grabber and he knew just what code to mix up.
