'74 California Sedan, no A/C or clock or cigarette lighter. Just recently I've run into a strange problem. A while back I drove the car to work and all was fine. When I got out of work I turned the key and had no warning lights. At first I thought it was yet another faulty oil pressure switch, then I thought it might be the bulb...until I noticed that it was ALL the warning lights (except the alternator of course). Tracing the wiring diagram back from the oil pressure switch showed me that and made me think there was a fuse for it. Sure enough, etched into the fusebox is 14AWARNLT, and the fuse was blown. Popped a new 14A fuse in and all the lights were alive again. All was dandy on a long drive yesterday. This morning I got in it to go to work and I was without warning lights again. If we assume that the fuse is blowing in transit, what all is on this circuit? I tried the wiring diagram but there are some very important things missing from it... for instance, the seatbelt interlock system isn't depicted and the printed circuit has no exploded view (and the separate printed circuit diagram doesn't match up to the wiring diagram layout). I've been doing a lot of engine work lately, but I'm not sure what would cause a slow short like this. Anybody had this happen? What was the resolution?
