There were a couple darker blues used for the Maverick.

Code - Q - Medium Blue (Hippie Maverick name was "There She Blue")
Code - 6 - Acapulco Blue (Hippie Maverick name was "Hulla Blue")

You can see chips on the internet, but I like to stop at an auto paint place and look at a chip book.

    :)

different brand/type of paint will be different color also. primer color (gray, black, red, yellow, etc. etc.) under paint affects the paint color also. that's why it's hard to touch up a paint job... new or old. you can have the paint mixed at three different paint stores and will have three different shades of that color...:yup:
these are the reasons I don't like seeing a car painted a...stock color, very seldom does it match...JMO

It's very hard, I painted my car three times before I found my perfect color. That was the blue poly. At least back then paint was affordable. lol

Just wondering if anyone has a color chart for a '73 Mav? I'm getting near paint and I've got to make up my mind soon.

    Thanks,
    PaMaverick
