I need a little help here. Could I get a few opinions from some of you professional body folks. Questions are can I just put a lower qtr panel skin on the drivers side and where will the seam be? I think a complete panel is going to be required on the pass. side. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Tim, Heres the pass.side

The best place to put a seam in this case is about 3/4" below the top edge. This is where the metal will have the best stiffness and support due to the 90 degree bend. cut it off about 1" and use a flanging tool to dress the edge. Here is my 67 Mustang I did as an example.

Mavaholic's got it right. Cutting the old quarter off below the top bodyline will give you a stronger area to weld to. Are you planning to butt-weld the new quarter on? It gives a much better apperance than trying to overlap the panels. That's a nice looking Mach1. I used to have one many years ago and of all the Mustangs I owned ( six in all), my 69' Mach 1 was my all time favorite.

    Hey Dennis:

What do you want for that Maverick Sprint with the silver door in the back of your garage in that '67 Mustang picture? lol

    slight problem there

There is a dent on the passenger side that is in the top of the qtr panel that i dont think you can really see in the pics . I will try to get a better pic so you can see it. Later Tim
