    Hello all,

Long story short, I was the victim of a hit and run this weekend. Got hit twice in the front wheel/fender area. Appraiser is coming out tomorrow morning, but the fender will definitely need to be replaced. However, it looks like I can only get repro's for up to 1972 models and mine is a 74. I do want to convert to small bumpers anyway so I figure I might just get two of those and piece it together.

The only thing I'm not sure about is if the body lines changed from 72 to 74, or of there are any other hidden gotchas to lookout for. Can I use a small bumper fender with big bumpers until I get all the parts I need, or will that not work?

Thanks for any help you guys can provide. I'm doing the best I can to see this as a blessing in disguise...

The body lines are the same. Early fenders have the notch in them for the small bumper and the 3 holes for the Maverick script. Headlamp adjustment screws moved in 1975. Otherwise, all 2 and 4 doors are the same fender in design.

    Awesome. Thanks for the info!

Thanks, it was real hard seeing my all original baby get hurt but Im grateful it wasn't more serious. I've got Hagerty so I should be in good shape.
