    Hi Guys,
I've uploaded pics of the Barrie Poole/Sandy Elliott Comet in the gallery under "drag Mavs/Comets". Find them by searching for "Border Bandit" This car was from Chatham Ontario, close to where I grew up in Windsor. We Canucks were pretty proud of these guys because they got this name for their habit of slipping over the border and kicking some 'Merican butt now and then (please don't take that shot seriously!). Enjoy! John B
PS I will try to contact the curent owner of this car for more pics and history on it.

All the Boader Bandit race cars were painted like that The Comet, two mustangs and a cougar.the team did a lot of butt kicking on both sides of the boader. The cool part is that Barrie poole still races quite frequently today in stock/superstock events.

There is an article in 'Fast Mustangs' that identifies when he first started painting them that way in 1968.
