Is that a real Boss? It looks like it.

Where do you live in Iowa. I was born and raised in Waterloo.

Yes it's a boss .030 over Venolia pistons and retro fit hydraulic roller cam (no room to adjust valve with the oe solid cam) I live 44 miles west of Ames. Wheels and tires should be here this week. Can't wait to drive it!!!!

    Those should look good.

My uncle has a '71 Comet GT that has 15x7 Magnum 500's and 235/60/15 tires all the way around and they look good!

Those Cleveland heads will give that car an exhaust note that only a modular can match. Fill the intake port and intake manifold floors with epoxy to reduce port volume, install some exhaust filler plates to raise the port floor, perform some bowl work, add a solid roller cam with link bar lifters and that engine will scream. It will still be real peaky, but fun nonetheless. If you bore/stroke it, you can move the power band down a bit and get away with a hydraulic roller.

The weak link of my old '70 Boss 302 Mustang was the stock forged pistons, most of which suffered from skirt cracks that created a bad "slapping" noise.

Have to admit that I love Boss 302 Maverick/Comets:bowdown:
