Awesome, racing ranger. I "almost" did a stroked clevor in my Maverick. Those flat topped valve covers and canted valves are a thing of beauty. I so wish Ford had built this car.

I'm envious. I owned a Boss 302 and a Boss351 Mustang in the 70's and always wanted a Boss 302 in a Maverick. If I ever get the time and $$, I would like to build a 363 clevor with CHI heads.

Love your Comet. Please keep us posted on your progress. I'm assuming you are using Tubular Automotive headers?

Very nice job - tightness to towers reminds me when I had my Cleveland in my Maverick when my engine bay was all stock :thumbs2:

    Looking awesome.

Having owned one of these engines in a Mustang, I will be interested to see how it runs in the lighter Maverick chassis. I advanced my cam 4 degrees and installed 4.30:1 gears to get it to run well on the street with the huge 4V ports. Beware of the original forged pistons too. Mine developed cracks in the skirts.
