bought a comet

    Today I went and looked at a 74 comet 2dr. It is a 250 c4 drum brake car. The body is rough so It's just a parts car. Along with it I got a spare set of doors a 170 c4, a 302 aod and another 302 and tranny. I also got a spare 250 head some gauge clusters and some other small parts. I am going to pick it up in the morning. I figure I'll use the comet for parts. I'm gonna put it by my 73 4dr mav parts car and see which one rusts faster, because of the vinal top the comet has a much better start. Anyways today was a good day for me

    got it all home today, I'll post pics tommorrow. The oilpan is off the 302 aod but I counted all the rods so I think it's buildable. He gave me a bunch of stuff. he had one disc brake spindle but not the other. He says his brother in law scrapped it. There will be a lot of good parts on the comet. He said it ran. I am going to try and get it running. The car actually looks good from a distance but not up close

    It looks good from a distace but the floors and top are shot. On a serious note i would like to find a good 2dr comet to build. When did the maverick comet war start anyway

    I figure maybe some time around 1971 some dude bought a Comet, and his buddy had a Maverick, and it went from there.
