Hello all, Mabey someone had this happen. I installed new brakes and calipers all around. Now when I brake it feels like the front end is going to violently come out. I blamed it on out of balance tires, not it. Then on the front drums, not it, Now I'm starting to root around the tie rods but I dont see nothin. I also replaced the cragers with new ones the same size. mabey a bad wheel? Thanks for any help.

The stock drum brakes self adjust but only when in reverse. Go to a empty lot and back up at about 3-5 miles per hour and apply the brakes and let off. Do this several times to make sure the shoes are adjusted properly.

My guess is you have the Cragars on wrong.

The new cragers are on the same way as the old ones and they did'nt vibrate.
I will try the reverse remedy, Thanks

Have the Cragars spun balanced. If not done when purchased. Spin balancing will detect bad wheels. Double check wheel installation! As Craig said, newer wheels may install different but look "OK"

Did you have the brake drums turned? They should be dressed up, turned or replaced. When you put back together, did you adjust brakes at all? If you did not manually adjust the brakes first time, they may take forever to auto adjust.

Also, I always torque my wheels

If you put new drums on and it shakes when you hit the brakes your drums are out of round. It may be the rear drums that are doing it - you will still feel it in the front. Get the drums turned and your problem will go away.
