brakelights are stuck on

    any suggestions on where to look and what to check, im completely clueless on this type of work. I believe it has to do with the emergency brake, as i use it quite a bit, since i need to adjust my linkage properly so it will go completely into park

    Likely the sticking brake light switch. It is located on the brake pedal under the dash.

    I agree, it is the brake light switch. My '72 did the same thing.

    its like a button. when the peddle is at rest the lights are off because pressure is on the button. when you hit the brake though the peddle comes off the button and causes the lighst to come on. so when your unser the dash look for something like that

    this is mounted on the end of the...master cylinder rod. i don't know of an adjustment...(may be sticking).

    Just follow your brake pedal up under the dash. You will see it.
