Does anyone know where you can get front brakelines for a 70 Mav reasonable? Need one on each side... Thanks!!!
Thanks, sent it to my guy doing the work. Hope this works. I don't know bending, I just do the body stuff
This is true. It's worth the effort to go ahead and convert to 68 Mustang or later Maverick hoses. I went with Mustang hoses, they'll always be available.
I bought 2 used Mustang hose brackets to bolt to the frame to hold the hose (same location as a 68 Mustang). Installed Mustang hoses and wheel cylinders. The factory Maverick hard brake line was too short so I made another line to tie them together.
For the rubber lines I bought steel braided lines from Just Breaks off of E-bay, and for the steel lines I bought a kit from " The right stuff". I can not tell you how they fit because I am still working on the engine bay/front end, but they mocked up ok.
I attached 3 pics he took for me. I can show him the 68 mustang post you did. But doesn't anyone have these lines somewhere? Banjo fitting 3/8" Female end 7/16 by 24 Complete hose.. approx 19.5" -20 " in lenth left and right specific Dianne
Those hoses are obsolete. You might check with a shop that makes hydraulic hoses to see if they can use the metal ends and create new hoses
David, the mechanic, is going to try the Mustang thing that was posted by predfan2001. He read the thread also. This car is a pain ahahahaha But worth it!
