I have a 72 mav, I just got it and the brake pedal is way to high. It has disc brakes with a manual master. Is there any way of adjusting the height of the pedal or do I have to live with it?

Someone may have used the wrong pushrod.

You can buy an adjustable pushrod from any Mustang Restoration house like Mustangs Unlimited or Year One.

I had the same problem When i did my 4 wheel disc upgrade on my Maverick. I just got a couple pushrods and took a little off the end, maybe 1/4" at a time until I got the pedal height I wanted.

Or you could do like Earl said and buy an adjustable one and save the hassle of "customizing" the one you have.

Either way good luck, and Welcome!!

When I got my Mav, many moons ago, I changed from drum to discs, and had the high pedal problem. I did not change the pedal to the disc pedal when I did the swap. Changing the pedal brought it down where it should have been. I suspect the former owner of your car did the same thing. If you don't have the right pedal, an adjustable rod might help a lot. I know about the adj. rod 'cause I changed to a manual trans, and the drum brake pedal came on the pedal set. The adj. rod did the trick.
