Brazilian side stripe

    thinking about having a side stripe similar to this made at the local paint shop. what colo would look good with my black cherry paint job? i was thinking about going with a black one so that it donsnt stand out too much.:hmmm:

    people always mistake my car for being burgandy or brown:cry: but its far from that is more of a reeeeeaaaalllllllyyyy deeeep darrkk purplish color when its cloudy outside it looks black.

    Yes, I know. I mean the stripes. People who make stripes have the material in different colors (which you know). Ask them for some samples and put it up to the car and see if that helps to make a decision on colo. I am having my GT stripes remade like factory design, but they will be using metalic silver reflective. Plans are to paint the car competition blue with the stripes...
    I just thought the burgundy would bring out the cherry in your paint and not be loud.

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    Saturn had a color called "Black Gold" I believe. Its a metallic black.The flake is gold and copper colored.Very subdued but pops in sunlight.Would look good against the flake allready in your existing color.

    I'd go with a dark burgundy type stripe,but the solid black would look good too.

    How about a lighter shade of purple? For lots of contrast maybe antique white? I just noticed all the Brazilian photos show there are no side marker lights.

    i know, im not trying make it exactly like a brazilian maverick, i just like the stripe

    Is it just me or do those tires and rims look good. I also like the no marker lights.
