is it a complete dash or just the dashpad? if it is just the dashpad the easiest way is to buy a dash cover. they are on ebay all the time. if it was the complete dash i think you need to post some pics.:)

yeah, if you just need the padded part people make replacments or covers for yours. if its out of the car it'll be even easier to change out

ohhhh, yeah there definatly a p.i.t.a. i would think maybe fiberglass it from the back side and use a little bit of filler for the front, sand it down and paint. but im sure someone will chime in with a better alternative.

    good luck

other than finding one that is not cracked I think best bet is fiberglass. I already bought the fiberglass and gonna do it from the back of the dash nad I'm sure I'll have a crack in the front so maybe I'll get some fiberglass filler material and patch that up too.

fiberglass and bondo are the best and most long lasting fixes I have done. fiberglass first with matting,, easy to do, then use bondo to smooth it all out.

    Gluing plastic

Permatex PermaPoxy would probably work fine. It is a two-part epoxy and is strong enough to do minor filling work with too. I would bridge over the repaired area in an inconspicuous place (the back?) with another piece of plastic just for insurance.

I have a mid-80s Mustang GT scoop on my hood and when I got it, the front two points were cracking behind the studs that bolt it to the hood. I filled the undersides of these areas with 2 part epoxy and they have lived for 10 years like this just fine. Gone 100 mph, too. ;)
