Just wondering if anybody had any suggestions on what kind of vehicle to pull some bucket seats out of that will fit nicely into my maverick. Doesn't really matter what they look like, just need to be easy to find and really cheap.

There's a number of different seats you can mate to the Mav tracks to fit. Mustang seats seem to be a bit popular. Cheap may be a relative term if you're looking for ones in good condition.

hehe, I'm not looking for ones in good condition. Seat covers are fine by me, I will eventually just put in a racing seat or something.....eventually this car will be more track than street. But for now I'd like to replace me busted up bench seat with something that's more comfortable.

    These work great

Here's a thread about my recent upgrade.
I've since finished the project, just keep forgetting to take pics.
It went great and they're really comfortable.

Anyone in the Louisiana area know of any seats to be given away? They can be old and sitting in an old junk car somewhere, can even be all ripped up. I plan on either covering or reupholstering.

And to think I gave away some nice leather 300ZX Turbo seats no long ago for $25.

I got mine from a wrecker service for free. They came out of a 2000 firebird. Just needs recovered. If you lived closer I would tell you to stop by. They always have "extra" parts lying around. I went from a bench to buckets, and just used everything from the firebird.

Mounting Bucket Seats in 69.5 Mav

Does anyone have any ideas or possibly know of an adapter kit to mount bucket seats in a 69.5 mav? I got some factory 73 Mav reclining seats for my 69.5 however, it appears the 69.5 floor pan was designed only for a bench seat with just four mounting holes (2 ea on far LH drivers side and 2 ea on far RH passengers side). I can drill some inner holes however, the height does not appear to be correct on the floor pan (too low) and I would either have to add spacers or possibly design some perches for the bucket seats to mount level/correctly. Any ideas???

nope no adapter kits... ya just have to fabricate a spacer unless of course you want to go all out and start modifying the pan.

We were able to fit bucket seats out of a Granada into my '76 Comet, I don't know how different a Maverick and Comet are. Just thought I would put my 2 cents in ;)
