I picked up some 1 1/2 sq. 1/8th inside today. I can use advice on the shape of the connecting end. Also the best place to weld on the subframe. Thanks.....Paul

With 1 1/2" sq. tubing you should be able to notch the subframes and get the tubing up inside it. Then you can weld the connector to the subframe and possibly get part of the floor tied into the connector as well. I like to overlap the subframe by at least 12". Be sure to tie the subframes to the rocker panel with a "kicker" bar. Also, you can use a tubular driveshaft safety loop from one of the chassis companies and weld it from one connector to the other. This not only protects from a dropped driveshaft but it helps tie the car together from side to side. We use two tubular loops.....one in front and one as far back as you can get.
