Bumper Bolts

    Does any1 know the proper type of bumper bolts for a 72 Mav.:huh: . Mine are flat on the outside of the bumper(thats what every1 sees).. I can only find bolts that are 1/2 round like a carriage bolt.. I have even gone to specialty shops and auto body supply stores and no1 carries the type that are flat..Maybe the flat ones are not the correct ones.. Any help is appreciated.. Thanks in advance RON

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    I used Mustang ones on the rear. If I recall....they were not as flat as the maverick ones.

    Thanks Craig.. Where would I find bolts for Mustangs.:huh: . All my bumper bolts are on the flat side both front and rear:hmmm:

    Ace Hardware has some of the nicest bumper bolts I have ever seen ... They look like a mirror finish. They are a little pricey but very nice ... and they are stainless too ...

    1972 Grabber 302, 1973 Maverick my first car that is under restoration, 1972 Grabber and 1976 Maverick parts cars, 2012 Mustang GT, 2001 Lightning
    I have looked everywhere for the flat bumper bolts too. No luck yet. I am going to use used ones that are not rusted or scratched up. The ones at the store and for the Mustangs would bother me The small bolts for the front bumper are the hardest to find.

    I like the bumper bolts Dennis used on the back of his Sprint. They are REALLY flat!!
