I was wondering if anybody can give me some quick insight into the changeover from that huge bumper on my comet to the smaller version seen on most mavericks. The wife is gone and its a good day to go to the wreckin yard, that is if I can learn and do b4 she gets home!! All i can tell u is that bumber on there now is enormous and it and the piece of steel its attached to must weigh well over 250 pounds. There are what appears to be, adjustable arms prodtruding from the frame behind the thing and it looks like even if I dont chanbge the bumper, I could perhaps move it back. As it is, the bumper is nearly 10 inches out in front of the car and man it looks doofy! Above the bumper there is a plastic/rubber sheeting of some sort that basically just lays there to hide the frame!! HELP!!!!!

    More time

Unless you are in for one of those 'half-fast' jobs, you
better send the wife out of town for 2-3 days.

I did it at paint and body time.
