I am just looking through the new mustang unlimited catalog and I was wondering if any bumper from a mustang would work on a 72 mav...The ones that I have are in bad shape.:banghead:

Nope ... we have discussed a Mustang swap several times and it will not work. Although they look close, when you put them side by side they are quite different. Many of us have had bumpers rechromed for less then $200 from Tri-City Plating. Very high quality work. If you have a core, great. If not see if you can find one in a junkyard from a 70-73 Mav or Comet.

Actually, Maverick73 has a Mustang rear bumper on his car and it looks pretty good.

i made brackets for a 67-68 mustang rear bumper.the mustang bumper is not quite as wide as the mavericks and not as tall. they do fit but the lines dont line up well.
