hey guys! my first post! i have a 77 with a c4 floor shift and a stall right now. what would it take to install a t5 tranny into this car? i have no pedal. it has 4 wheel power disc brakes. i would like to use cable or hydrualic setup if possible? how much grief is this swap? lol!! i assume the bell housing/starter is also different!:Welcome:

The bell housing is different from all the earlier bell housings. I think the starter is the same though.

Well, I don't like cables - they stretch, break and never seem to have enough adjustment to make up for the problems. I don't like adding a master cylinder for either kind of hydraulic clutch. I know that there may not be any way to put in a manual linkage but that is what I would try first. If that couldn't be fit into use, then I would go with hydraulic using the hydraulic throw-out bearing.
That is just me and my opinions. There are guys that can help with the cable set-up if that is what you want.
