I am getting ready to drill the 1/16" oil delivery hole for the #9 thrust washer modification and am a little concerned with the slots in the case where the washer tangs sit. The old washer was trashed and spun clockwise, wearing slits in the case. Is this a problem? If it is a problem, what are my options?

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I think so too. Doing a little research I did find this upgrade to replace the thrust washer with a needle bearing available from Broader Performance as an option:

Just make sure there are no burrs sticking up where the slots are worn on the flat surface the washer sits against.....

There were burrs that I filed down. Been busy lately but the last of my parts should be in by the end of the week and I'm anxious to get back into it.
