C4 ID with no tag

    1974 Maverick 351W, 1985 5.0 Mustang coupe, 1996 F150, 2004 Subaru WRX Sti (Don't shoot me, it goes like hell!)
    Is there anyway to ID a transmission or tell whether or not it is a "green dot" unit if the servo tag is gone?

    1972 Comet GT clone 306 . 1969 Fairlane Cobra 428CJ 1988 T-Bird awaiting 331 ..
    Probably, I know '70 & newer units have a 26 spline input shaft vs the '69 & earlier 24... Green dots are '66-earlier, so if it's a 24 you'll likely have to ID the valve body(there is lots of info on net)...

    So far I found out it is a 24x24 spline input shaft.
