I know this is stupid but i dont know crap about transmissions. my question is how dose a reverse valve body work? whats the benefits? i want to do some work on my spare tranny to get it to preform at the track better but still be very reliable for street use. I only go to the strip 3-5 times a year. thank you for any help.:tiphat:

A reverse valve body changes the shift pattern so that your are shifting away from neutral.

    Regular P R N D 2 1
    Reverse P R N 1 2 D

Not really necessary if you use a racing ratchet type shifter.

Not really going to help. Some people just feel better pulling the shifter rather than pushing. Security blanket. :)
