Found a local shop that will rebuild my C4 at a reasonable price. I would like to buy the transpak myself. What brand are people using? I have looked at PAT and TCI, any others? are these ok? Scott

$300 for a rebuild kit from PA. They are proud of their parts!

Hey, Git Ahold Of Oldguy On Here He Can Fix You Up With A Shift Kit For About The Cost Of A Package Of Peanuts, And I Know From Experience That This Thing Will Shift Sharply, Better Than Any Storebought Kit, And There Is No Mods Except I Think You Have To Taka Valve Out And A Check Ball, But Like I Say Get Ahold Of Old Guy On Here, He Will Line You Out

Looking foir more than just the shift kit. I have "moved the ball-bearing" and it shifts hard 1-2. Just getting soft 2-3 and is has quite a few of miles on them. Looking to freshen it all up a bit.

I agree. I ran one of his kits in a C4 in a F-150 truck I had. If it'll bark a tire in that truck, it'll bark one in your car for sure
As far as C6's go... I've had a transgo, fairbanks and a B&M... Fairbanks is by FAR the best choice

I haven't had any problem finding them
Local places here sell them, and I think Jegs/Summit sell them also

Don't waste money on the high dollar red and kevlar band kits unless your running 500 HP or NOS. A good stock kit with Raybesto's clutch's and band, will hold up just fine if the trans is built right. Need a R or aftermarket servo to help that sluggish 2 to 3 shift, an H can also be used. Proper clearances and some internal mod's, will give you a race proven C4 that can handle most mild to 400 HP engine combo's.

Don, when you say a "kit" you mean just the shift kit? Or a total rebuiild kit with bands, gaskets, modulator etc?
