This trans was only ran 20 mins or less...Onlything i can figure looks like bad casting flash in the pump saddle where the bushing sits' and it spun..It only walked out a little and only had a drop hanging but never dripped..I bought this C5 pump/stator new and seal and bushing was already installed...Couldnt beleive they installed a bushing inside that pump with it looking like that..Had to be the problem..Good thing i had that babbitt bushing ' didnt even phase the converter hub...

Looks to me like it was installed dry - I always use assembly lube on the bushing, seal and converter snout when I assemble them.

    Your right!

I just found out a friend of mine was suppose to have put 2 qt's of fluid in the converter like i told him but didnt..I ask him about it after i tore the trans down and he told me the truth..Just hard to get good help nowdays...He knows i like everything to be done perfect as it can be but i always have to go back and check everything...I put 1 qt in the converter and 4 or in the trans and fire it up and add the rest to make 7 qt's..I came up with 4 qt's left over i found' so know i know what happened...Your right it didnt have enough fluid on startup...I did have lube on the bushing but thats a first to take one out that fast for me...Thanks
