c6 from 77 ranchero with 351m fit 302?

    I have a chance to pick up a 77 ranchero for $400 OBO I dont have a use for it but the guy says the trans is rebuild and it has fairly cool looking wheels and tires with decent tread disk brakes and a 9" rearend supposedly
    hes selling it because the registration fees are over $1k for being 3 years late.
    I could care less about the truck/car whatever you want to call it but if the trans will work I could get some if not all of my money back after taking the trans

    351M has a different bellhousing bolt pattern than a 302, 351W and 351C

    It'll fit a 400/429/460...
