Later on down the road I am planning on a 347 stroker for the heads!

    Change cams

call the head manufacturer and ask them to give you a good idea of the type of cam to use. Use those heads to their potential. A retrofit roller would be nice!

Another thing to be answered is the valve to piston clearence with those kind of heads on any combo, if you go high on lift. On a stock 302 with dish pistons there won't be a problem but with flat tops there could be, so be awhere.
Depending on how long you will run the present engine, a low priced cam like an RV type will give you a good boost in torque to play with until you go to a roller 347. Staying with the flat tappet cam block is ok but there is more power in the roller block.

I thought one of the selling points of the twisted wedge heads was rotated valves so you can have large valves and higher lift without flycutting the pistons......................

Just got the old heads off today I hear talk about fly cut, well these pistons look like they are? Looks like , , only sideways?
Never have had a Ford small block apart so I dont know??? Looks to me maybe 1/4" or less deep:confused:

Is it a performer or performer RPM?

The Edel Performer will limit you.
just a generic cam to throw in there, Comp Cams 270H would be a little better than stock, shouldn't be limited by your intake too bad either.
