    Like the title says.

My Comet lives outside and the cover I've been using is not an all weather cover. It's been raining nonstop up here and the cover just sits soaking wet, which is probably worse than leaving the car uncovered. I only use it to keep water out of the cowl etc.

Anyway, I'm looking for a decent all-weather cover that will fit but I don't want anything crazy expensive. I don't need it to be fitted to the car but it would be nice to have a hole for the antenna; my current cover doesn't and I have to bend the antenna back to put it on.

I looked in the mustang catalogues and they seem to have decent ones for about $80-$90 and I would think a cover made for a 65-68 mustang should fit no? Any advice?

Those covers look nice but they are on the pricey side. I've got to believe you can get a halfway decent all-weather cover that fits for around $100 or less.

EBay is loaded with covers you can buy for around $25.00 plus shipping. I have bought about 3 of those just to throw over different cars. I recently spent $50 for a very nice cover. I'll do a search when I get home and see if I can direct you to a good link. I'm very happy with this one.

Stick the antenna under the window gutter...

You bend your antenna? I've never considered doing that, my other Maverick has a removable mast.

    Yep.

For months (if not a year) at a time with no negative side effects.

About sizing ... I bought one that stated it was for a "mid-size car" with a picture of it on a late model vehicle... It barely fits my Comet.

If what you are looking at is sized for modern cars, get one for a full-size car.

Weren't Mavs and Comets "compacts" way back when? ...:rofl2:

The one I bought in the above auction is definitely not too tight. I would not get one any bigger or you wouldn't be happy. This one fits great.

Ray, would it be ok to use while the car is on a trailer?

Never leave a cover on a car while driving, neither while on the trailer or off.
Unless you wanna do some repainting when you get where you're going.

I love seeing cars going down the highway with tarps flapping, my neighbour wore the paint off his mirrors in less than an hour.

I know! I get to repaint truck bedsides all the time because people tie stuff down and let the tarp go over the side. :16suspect
