Can I swap my stock-style dizzy cap for an "HEI" one with the nipples?

And if so, is there a year model and make of another car that I can ask for when I go to AutoZone/O'Reilly?

I want to lose the press-into-the-deep-holes type and have a snap-on type, that looks like it has 9 sparkplugs sticking out the top.

I used to run the small cap on my duraspark distributor. The distributor itself is no different than a points-type. I now run the large cap...

Summit sells the cap adaptor and big cap with brass terminals, don't remember the cost.

I don't want to run a $350 distributor on a 210 hp motor. I just want to swap out to a nipple-type (love my tech-talk? ) dizzy cap so I can put on 90 degree boots and get rid of mine sticking up all over the place. I also like how they SNAP! on rather than just feeling snug and in the hole...

Exactly. Summit, Jegs and even Ford dealers sell a kit that includes the cap adaptor, the cap, and matching rotor. Seems to me it cost about $25.

    Wuss. :D

You need therapy. Does your wife know you talk like this on the internet...to other men? Sounds like some latent issues you need to deal with.

I think someone's mind is in the gutter. But, now that you point it all out (in BOLD!!!), there is some nasty-sounding talk in there. My wife will get a kick out of this when I show this to her :yikes:
