Just got back from Good Year to do an inspection and the car failed due to the pitman and idler arms. they were in pretty bad shape so I'll have to get some replacements. While I'm at it, I'd figured to replace the bushings and any other components of my Mav that should be upgraded.

I have a manual steering 74 Mav and would like to know which parts besides the bushings(what kind though?), idler and pitman arms I should buy brand new to replace them in the front suspension of the car?

    Cheers!

Didn't go to their website to check but autokrafters probably has some of that stuff.

Any rubber parts that look cracked, dried or deteriorated replace them. Its not really expensive for these cars. I use strictly Moog if possible on my vehicles and my customers vehicles if they take my advice. Have a good look at your brake hoses as well while your at it.
Dont use urethane for the strut rods. They need the rubber to flex with the suspension.

Any parts I have needed for the Mav suspension were readily available from Carquest.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. got a problem though, I can't seem to find just the idler arm or pitman arm parts at Summit Racing or AutoKrafters. The good news is that there is a Carquest not that far away from me so I'm hoping to pay them a visit tomorrow.

Although, does anyone have the parts numbers off the top of their head? Their site for some reason doesn't seem to actually show off their parts but instead gives me info on how the suspension in a car works.
