Can someone confirm 1971 Curb weight

    I found a website that listed the curb weight of a 1971 Maverick at around 2700 lbs. If someone could confirm this that would be great.

    Depending on options, yes,, though a bit on the light side. I always say that 2850 curb weight is good.

    I agree...about 2850 is what I came up with on my 71's.

    I always thought that was light. Mine weighs 3010 on a certified Cat scale and it has no power anything and a manual transmission.

    Well, I've never had mine weighed...just relying on what I have read over the years. It may be more like yours. I'm curious now...:hmmm: gonna have to get the bathroom scales back out again. I think somebody said I had to put 2 sets under each wheel. Anybody got some scales I can borrow???:cry:

    Most truck stops have certified scales.

    Yeah...the one here does. :idea: Plus a local salvage yard I do business with has a set...might be able to get them to weight it for me.
