Can you swap in bucket seats instead of a bench?

    Wondering if you can swap 1973 bucket seats into a 1972 Maverick and if so how involving is the project?

    Depends if you already have the bucket seats and tracks already. If so it’s not too bad and it is fairly easy to do. There is a factory reinforcement plate that goes in the floor that you should technically use but you don’t have to have it. Other wise it is putting in the seats, marking the holes and then drilling them. You will need the seats, the tracks and the correct spacers.

    I did it. You have to drill 4 extra holes in the floor pan.

    I did it also...as stated, You will need the seats, the tracks and the correct spacers. are they the LDO seats?

    '72 Maverick, 347 c.i., w/ dual quads, TKO 600 5-speed transmission, back halved w/ 4-link, '16 F150, 5.0 Coyotte, regular cab, shortbed, lowered 3/5 & 1-owner '79 Trans Am.
    I found dimples in the floor along the tunnel where the inside bolts go on mine. I used Summit Racing brackets and seat sliders as I didn't have the factory pieces. I also had to fabricate spacers to make up for the differing floor 'elevations'.

    Not sure.. will send out pics in a couple days.. They were referred to as High Backs>>?
