I am not THAt old but I can't seem to remember how the front and rear license plates were mounted before paint! For the front, I have a rather larger mounting brakcet with a flange, yes? (Also ties into the vertcal support?) The rear, is it the two "L" shaped brackets? Also, the front "corners" of the bumper have bolt holes. Is there a small bracket tjhat connets them to? where? I have the large ones bolted in, but the ends of the bumper need support. Thanks Scott

The rear license plate just mounts to the rear valence....no bracket.

Thanks Craig. I was thrown because of the holes in the rear valance with no threads. But I located the square pieces that snap in. Are there rubber cushions behind the upper part of the plate to keep it from vibrating?

Also, on the front. I have a pretty large bracket I found in the trunk (!) that lines up to the front holes. Does this also tie in somehow with the lower portion of the support that runs bertical from the hood latch/radiator support piece?

I feel like a watch maker with a lot of extra parts!! Should be a fun weekend putting all the small pieces back together. Thanks for the help!

The front bracket is attached to the valance with 2 bolts and clip nuts. Here are some diagrams to reference.
