Hello Maverick community. Today when attempting to start my car it seemed that the battery had given out and no power was inside the vehicle (light, radio, etc). I got my car hooked on to another car to try and jump start it, and it powered up my battery enough to get it to start but After it started it only lasted approx for like 5 seconds, then a cloud of smoke came out and the car immediately died out again, but all the power was restored inside the vehicle. But now every time I try to start it, it no longer turns over and all I hear is a ticking noise. What might the problem be?

This is my daily driver and only car, so thank you for any help!

Charge your battery take it off take your alternator off too take them to auto zone and have them checked before taking alternator belt off check to see if it was tight it may have been slipping

Where did the magic smoke come from??? Your supposed to keep it in the electrical components...Seriously though, what got smoke checked ?
