Do holley and edelbrock carbs have the same mounting bolt pattern. I have never used an edelbrock so i am clueless......This is not an aftermarket intake so it will only have one set of bolt patterns which as of now has an edelbrock. I am trying to help a fellow board/club member out. Any info would be appreciated
i have never used an edelbrock carb. but i've used a lot of edelbrock intakes. i've always used a holley. can't imagine them making the intakes and not being able to use their own carbs. i'm sure someone knows for sure. if not give edelbrock a call.
there is a line of edelbrock carbs that use a diff bolt pattern. cant remember how they are differentiated by name, but the majority of intakes and carbs made by edel use the standard size bolt pattern and sizing. not sure if that helped you any.
i just went out and checked the torker II intake for a 351w and it only has one set of holes, but my torker II for the 302 has both sets.
Lance, yes they do. Provided that neither one is a spreadbore. btw. i'm 99.99999% sure that the edelbrock has a dual bolt patern anyway.
There is a Carter (aka Federal Mogul, aka Edelbrock) that uses a different pattern. However, the Federal Mogul carbs that Edelbrock sells with it's name on them all use Holley patterns. Does that make sense? If it is an Edelbrock based on the AFB, then it fits. If it is a Carter, then it may or may not unless it is an AFB. The other bolt pattern commonly put on Edelbrock intakes is usually the Q-jet pattern. Dave
I removed an Edelbrock from my car, using an Edelbrock Performer 289. Bolted right up with no mods or problems. The accelerator cable snapped on with no problems.
They have the same bolt pattern unless one is a spreadbore replacement. If that's the case, pitch it over your left shoulder.
