I plan on taking my 2-door Maverick to an 1/8th mile strip on Thursday evening. Anyone care to predict ET and MPH?

It has an '86 roller 5.0 with HEI distributor, electric radiator fan, 600 CFM Summit carb, Edelbrock Performer intake, lightly ported E7 heads, Doug Thorley shortie headers, 2.5" dual exhaust pipes, Thrush Turbos, 2.25" tail pipes, C4, stock converter, 3.00 TL rear, G70 14s. Closest guess wins the satisfaction of being the closest. :biglaugh:

A buddy with a 400 HP Trailblazer SS and I are going together. I've driven the TB SS and my Maverick SEEMED faster. Didn't wind it out so we'll see. Don't think I can stand it if he gets down the track in less time.

At least with my "contests" I offer to donate a certain amount of cash toward winner's chosen charity, as long as it isn't al-queda, or something way out there.

    What is your cam?

Cam came with the engine. I believe its a stock HO -- it has the 351 firing order and smooth idle.

I'm thinking Bryant is going to be pretty close...IF it hooks on those tires. MPH probably 72.

I really like to know your 1/8th mile ET. That would give me a good estimate of the improvement I'd get with those gears and that stall. My wish list includes an AOD, maybe a higher ratio rear, and 2500 stall.
