Hello again to everybody!! We are getting ready to finish the inside of our 74 maverick and we were wondering if anybody bought their carpet from J.C Whittney, and how it was? Funds are tight so were looking for the best buy for the money, any suggestions:confused: Thank's again, Mike.

All of the carpet I've seen come from JC Whitney is crap. It wasn't molded like the carpet you get from ACC. I don't recommend it at all. :tsk: You can generally get ACC carpet for about $110-125 and it's well worth the little bit of difference.

Same here, the JC Whitney stuff was pretty crappy. ACC carpet fit perfectly.

Maybe they do now, but they also sell some less expensive stuff with "sewn-in seams". Doesn't fit right.

That's all I've ever seen but then again, I haven't bought anything from JCW in several years.

anyone have a link for the ACC carpet?
i found a fabric place that has good quality carpet and was going to get that and glue it all down myself...but then i looked at the hump and saw how high it really was and i am not sure it would turn out right.

....i have a good high temp air gun that i used for my r/c airplanes.....so i could heat it up and maybe get it to fit right.....but if the molded carpet is that cheap it might be easier...

yep, that's what I paid, and it's one piece carpet, just what I was hoping to get. They had it to me in a week, good service. I installed it by myself, but I think if you have an extra set of hands, it would make the job easier.

I have to agree, www.automotiveinteriors.com is a great place to do business with. The people are freindly and knowledgable and they will even send you samples. Price is reasonable and fit and quality is excellent. With JC Whitney you get what you pay for.

    Sam :)
