I have a '73 mav, 250 with a Carter RBS. It was having hesitation problems so I found a buddy who had rebuilt carbs before and got a kit. Once we got the thing apart he realized that he didn't remember how exactly to get it back together since it had been 20 or so years since he'd done one. The info that came with my kit was not very helpful. I believe I have gotten it together alright. I put it on the car and it will drive fine, but some things are definitely not hooked up to it as they should be. It idles rough- I know the kickdown plate is not engaged at all. It doesn't have any problems at speed but when you are slowing down to get into the garage it starts chugging pretty bad..

Does anyone have a picture of their carter rbs all hooked up (from many angles) and/or have a better walkthrough than the one I got with my kit? Maybe you could scan or retype it here on the forum.

Sorry if this is a redundant post, I have tried to search the forum and not been able to find anyone with this particular problem.

    Thanks!
