Centauro (custom Maverick - 1981)

    Centauro

    Centauro was manufactured in 1981, after Ford discontinued Maverick (1979).

    It has front, doors, hood, and rear custom with glass-fiber.

    It's sorta got that Australian Falcon thing going for it. But those survivor photos, the front looks like an 88 Plymouth Lazer. I'd still like to have one though.:thumbs2: Vitor, what is the drivetrain in these cars?

    The interior is pretty nice. Much nicer than a maverick.

    So, is it based on a maverick frame and body? there are some odd curves, especially along the back, suggesting not.

    The original 302 V8, or optionally:
    -GM 250 6cyl gas or alcool(etanol) :hmmm:
    -GM 151 with or without turbo, gas or alcool(etanol)

    2005 Rx8 with mods... hopefuly some time soon I will have another maverick and have time to work on it!
    The other ones look better then the prototype. If I had the money and one come along I would probably buy it but not the prototype It would probably be something I would pass up. Interesting information on the centauro.

    Yeah, unfortunatelly!

    I think that GM engines were cheaper than Ford engines...

    Dashboard was also GM, with customizations.
