Here is the after picture. I disassembled the vent and took out the "vanes" and sent in the plastic chrome piece to be rechromed. I sent it to: CV Vacuum Platers at www.cvvacuumplaters.com For $50 they rechromed it.
Here it is installed. Inserting the "vanes" was the hardest part of this task. Took me about 2 1/2 hours and some cussing to get them all back in there.
Wanna make a profit? I'll give you $60 for it and send you mine! Seth j/k-looks nice. Now what are you working on?
Now I am working on the seat belts and the bucket seats. Got to dye the belts...at least the upper belts. The buckets don't need upholstery....just cleaned up and paint the mounts. After that I want to hook up a battery and check out all the wiring and make sure I hooked it back up right.
I'll give you $70 for it. Did you have to drill out the rivets? What was the hardest part of putting it back together?
Yes....I had to drill out the rivits. The hardest part was holding all the vanes in place while I placed each one into the bottom holes....then place each one into the top hole without the others falling out as I held them in place.
